Taking the leap

I’d like to claim I was born ready for the day I took the leap and became a full-time creative business owner. I’d like to say I never doubted the mentors all along that said, “If anyone can do this, it’s you.” I’d like to think this was the easiest decision of my career. But anyone that really knows me would call my bluff.

What I can say with complete confidence is this: despite my personal doubts all along, I made it – with the proudest smile. I quit my full time job. I left behind the security, the benefits and friends that came with. I found a support group that encouraged and congratulated me. Equally as terrifying as exciting, this has been my best decision yet (besides saying “yes” to my soon to be husband, Zach). I’m only getting started on this journey, but I have big plans in store.
